Absolutely amazing, the owner and chef are both lovely, customer service from both was humbling. Atmosphere is easily the best place in notts, it's like going back in time. Food was awesome, I ordered the beef liver pitta - tender, succulent delicious, never had liver like this, no iron taste at all, tasted like red meat with garlic oil infused with some pickles/gherkins. Also ordered the rice pudding, this was again delicious it has cinnamon, coconut and raisins in it, not too sweet, this is better than our Indian rice pudding. Portion sizes are good not small, not huge, good amount fills you up. Food is really based upon quality, prices are also great especially for the quality, Brilliant authentic Egyptian food 5/5.

We had an amazing experience at Giza Egyptian Food! The owner, Leo, was incredibly welcoming and took the time to introduce each dish in detail, sharing the rich flavors and history behind them. Not only did he offer us a discount, but he also generously treated us to three special side dishes. We tried the first four dishes on the menu, and every single one was absolutely delicious. The beef liver was incredibly flavorful, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection, while the creamy shrimp was rich, tender, and absolutely mouthwatering. Without a doubt, this is the best food we’ve had since coming to the UK. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly exceptional dining experience!

Yesterday, I visited a new Egyptian restaurant in Nottingham called Giza. I am pretty confident to say I believe is the first of its kind in the area. The place has been carefully and passionately put together—golden tones, intricate patterns, and warm lighting give it a sense of luxury and comfort, creating an atmosphere that feels both special and welcoming. It has such a beautiful decor that it attracts people from all walks of life. For our meal, I wanted to try out their national dish so we ordered a Kushari. To add a bit of twist on the traditional vegetarian version, I had the chicken version. It still had the hearty base of rice, lentils, pasta, and crispy fried onions, all brought together with a tangy tomato sauce—but the addition of tender, spiced chicken added a satisfying richness that really elevated the dish. As someone who enjoys meat with most meals, it was a welcome touch that still felt true to the essence of Egyptian cuisine. We also tried the delicious kofta loaded fries, which were one of the highlights of the meal. The kofta was perfectly cooked—juicy and delicately spiced—and served generously over a bed of crispy fries. The dish was finished with a creamy sauce and fresh herbs, which balanced out the richness beautifully. It was comforting, full of flavour, and perfect for sharing (although I could’ve easily had it all to myself!). The portions were incredibly generous so I was also still able to take some home to continue eating later in the evening. What truly made the experience memorable was the incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. They took the time to explain the dishes to us, offered recommendations, and even gave us a glimpse into the kitchen. I had my three-month-old daughter with me, and they were so kind and accommodating—it really meant a lot. For me, I feel like the service provided was a reflection of TRUE Egyptian hospitality. Overall, Giza offers a special blend of delicious food, unique ambience, and heartfelt service. It’s a wonderful introduction to Egyptian cuisine for anyone curious, and a comforting taste of home for those familiar with it. I’ll definitely be going back and would highly recommend it to others.

Outstanding Hospitality and Delicious Dessert I visited this new restaurant not realising itt was closed just after 10 pm the owner kindly welcomed me, gave me a quick tour of the kitchen very clean! and even offered a complimentary Egyptian dessert which was absolutely delicious! .This was the true warm authentic Egyptian hospitality which speaks volumes for me. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a genuine welcome! Thank you
